So sad that today is the last day that Double Happiness will be opened. The staff are all so nice and attentive and the food was outstanding. Such a shame. Today we just got take out and the staff, Zu was very helpful, kind and professional. Thank you for everything and best of luck! And early evening, we decided to go there for dinner. We are so happy to see Ben! Always so attentive, caring, helpful, friendly, informative and professional. Definitely will miss the food and service.

Came here on a Friday evening for dinner with two others. We had a reservation and was seated promptly. After reviewing the menu and deciding on what to order, getting our waiter's attention was the difficult part as they seemed to prioritize cleaning tables over placing customers order for some reason. I think we sat around a good 15 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. Probably the only big complaint I have about the experience. After we finally got to place our order in, the food came out pretty steady. Overall the food tasted great. Although it was a Szechuan restaurant with a bunch of warning on spicy levels, the level 2 and 3 spicy we found really wasn't as spicy as they made it out to be. We ordered the following: Minced Garlic Bean Seedling ($19) - a good veggie dish to have Steamed Egg w Baby Shrimp ($13) - this is a rather basic dish essentially just steamed egg and soy sauce and some shrimp sprinkled in. Would pass. Boiled Fish w Pickled Vegetable in Chili Soup ($42) - It's a spicy and sour dish with an entire fish that includes the fish bones. Great dish to share with a group of people. Spicy Pig Intestine & Frog ($30) - my favorite dish and probably the spiciest dish that we ordered. Goat Tripe w Sour & Spicy Sauce ($18) - a solid old dish to start out as an appetizer.

First things first, keep in mind I believe that this is a Szechuan style restaurant. Every dish is spicy AF lol. The reason why I pointed that out is that if you or a guest in your party does not eat spicy foods, then you're sh!t out of luck. This means there's not even one dish that isn't spicy. One of my guests stared at the beautiful menu for like 15 straight minutes and couldn't find one thing to order. He finally decided on a chicken dish and pleaded with the server if the chef could make it non spicy. They agreed, and when the dish came, it was still spicy, lol. Anyways, the restaurant itself is beautiful and clean and the staff are friendly. Bonus: they have a nice selection of Boba teas. The prices here are not that cheap FYI.

Everything was absolutely amazing ! It's located in northern blvd. finding parking was too bad. And the food was so good! The service was prompt and no wait for a table. It's very large inside and coming on the weekend for lunch didn't disappoint. Lots of amazing options to choose from on their menu, even non spicy items which I got. We ordered a tofu soup, veggies, pork belly, mushrooms , eggplant and string beans! Everything was a bit on salty side but would be great with a big bowl of white rice! F0ll0w me on Ig @nyc_food1e
